TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SALE
A minimum of 50% deposit is required before carpets can be cut, or ordered with manufacturers. Prices are strictly net.
Outstanding balances are payable to the fitter at the time of fitting.
In the event of an order being cancelled after goods have been ordered a minimum cancellation charge of 25% will be payable.
Our quotation does not include easing or trimming of doors.
We uplift & remove old carpets and we move furniture free of charge.
Whilst every effort is made to ensure satisfaction, exact colour/design matching cannot be guaranteed between different widths of carpet, due to manufacturing tolerances over which we have no control. Neither can exact matching be guaranteed between carpet supplied and the carpet displayed.
SHADING, All carpets regardless of yarn content and quality type, may develop light and dark patches caused by uneven crushing of the pile in wear. This shading cannot be prevented however well the carpet is made, but very often it can add to the beauty and appearance of the carpet. It is not a manufacturing defect. Similarly flattening, matting and pilling can occur, also different production batches may vary in shade, therefore exact colour matching cannot be guaranteed from batch to batch.
BERBERS/HEATHER (when applicable). All wool or wool mix Berber carpets involve random blends of colours. The blending process may result in a LINED effect, not always visible in small display or pattern book samples. This is not a manufacturing defect but is an inherent characteristic of Berbers which are created to resemble ‘handmade’ carpets produced by Berber Tribesmen.
Should floors not accept concrete nails and drilling and plugging be necessary an additional charge will be made.
It is the customer’s responsibility to notify the fitter, in writing, of the location of any pipes and cables which may be damaged during fitting. No responsibility can be accepted for damage to underfloor pipes or cables, or for consequential damage to the property or fittings, unless written notification has been given as stated above.
Whilst every effort is made to deliver and fit to the customer’s satisfaction, delivery times are approximate only and failure to deliver on the stated ate or at a specific time shall not render us liable for damages, lost time or other consequential loss.
Unpaid balances will be subject to VAT at the time applicable on the date of the fitting. Title to the goods shall remain vested in this company until payment in full has been received. All goods are at the risk of the customer as soon as delivered or collected.
